Relate Leicestershire offers courses to statutory and voluntary agencies, businesses and the general public. Courses can be ‘tailor-made’ to suit the needs of individual groups or organisations or arranged from our portfolio of accredited courses.

Moving Forward & Taking Charge of your Life:
Evenings; 10 weekly sessions, each lasting 2 hours; a group of around 12 people; offered every term; a social meeting will be arranged 3 months after the course ends.

Counselling Skills (OCN accredited)
- For those engaged in a helping or supporting role privately or professionally
- Offers a framework & some skills (does not provide a qualification in counselling)
- Covers counselling skills, three stage model, interview management, time-keeping, boundaries ethical issues & self-awareness
10 week evening course (2.25 hours) or 3 days; a group of up to 12

Further Counselling Skills (OCN)
- For those who would like to build on skills attained on the Basic Counselling Skills course
- Covers personal constructs, life stages, defence mechanisms, supervision & systems model
10 week evening course (2.25 hours) or 3 days; a group of up to 12 
From Partners to Parents
- The key to parenting young children is the bond of the adult couple relationship
- Designed to help parents with young children re-build their adult couple relationship
- Offers a comfortable learning environment
- Opportunity to talk openly
- Share with others your experiences & problems
Evenings; 8 weeks, 2.75 hours 
Couples
- For couples about to get married or enter a committed relationship
- Learning about how relationships work & fail
- Learn new relationship skills
- Find out about each other in aspects of life together
- Group discussions, couple work & individual reflection
- Covers commitment, expectations, communication, intimacy & what if things go wrong?
Saturdays 10am – 4pm; 6 hour course 
Parents Apart
- For parents about to or already separated
- Looks at impact of separation on children & their parents
- Offers an opportunity to share concerns
- Offers strategies for helping children cope with the change
- Parents learn how to develop a new & different relationship with their ex-partner
